Driving back to Doolough

Not this place again, some might say... And I agree, but the pier in Doolough always made me stop and capture it every time I pass by. It was no different when I was there in early February with Chris, who actually asked to go there as he also loves this lake, but hasn't taken any photos with his SLR camera yet.

And I could not just stand there and do nothing while Chris was working hard on his composition, ND filters and camera settings.

A pub with a view

Yesterday, on my way home from the gallery I stopped in Rosbeg to capture the last sunshine of the day and first lights on in the Sheebeen, ready to serve their customers.

I am back

Apologies for the long absence from my page.
During January we shut the gallery and I used the time to visit friends and family, as well as simply recharging my batteries by doing nothing at all.

I did shoot the odd photo here and there and I got this image of Rockfleet Castle near Newport when my dear friend Chris (and now a photography addict himself) came over from Cork for a few days last weekend. The weather was very changeable and sometimes challenging. But everyone can do good weather photography
